'Vengeance of the Sea-King'

In the Norse sagas, a sea-king (sækonungr) was a powerful Viking chieftain or pirate leader who often controlled a fleet and engaged in raiding and warfare at sea. These individuals were typically distinguished by their strength, success, and ability to command respect and influence, sometimes even claiming a kingly status despite not necessarily being of royal lineage. They were a common figure in the Viking Age, known for their daring exploits and influence on the coastal regions they frequented. Sea-kings wielded considerable power within their sphere of influence, often controlling entire coastal regions or island territories. They are frequently depicted in Norse sagas, often as central figures in tales of adventure, warfare, and exploration.
