'Yamnaya Warlord'
'Yamnaya Warlord of the Pontic steppe' early Bronze age c.3300-2600 BC.
Indo-European Bronze Age warriors often belonged to warrior bands known as kóryos, which were composed of young, unmarried males from prominent families. These warriors underwent initiation rituals and lived outside of societal norms for a period, often identifying with animals like wolves or dogs. Their lives revolved around military duties, hunting, raiding, and reciting heroic tales. Kóryos were groups of young, often adolescent, men who formed a warrior brotherhood.
